Immortalised in the famous cult sci-fi novel, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by the late Douglas Adams, the real Hotblack Desiato commenced trading under this inimitable style in 1979 with the original partners quickly forming a successful estate agency in Islington.
In 1984 a second office opened in Camden Town enabling the Company to cover a widespread area from Primrose Hill to Hackney with Islington in between. Hotblack Desiato specialises in handling the sale of residential property and is committed to providing a high quality personal service combined with knowledge and expertise.
In 1999 the Company entered the residential lettings sector of the business and has now built a sizable management portfolio and a formidable reputation as an efficient and professional letting agent.
To celebrate the onset of our third decade of trading the company has recently opened a third office in Highbury specifically dealing with properties between Highbury Corner and Finsbury Park as well as Stoke Newington.
We are now the only well established firm able to offer a dedicated sales and lettings service in Highbury from two local offices; one in Highbury Barn and our existing premises in Upper Street.

As a forward thinking and expanding company with three local offices we offer good career progression and are always looking to add to our accomplished team of sales and lettings negotiators. We welcome applications from University Graduates or well educated applicants, offering interviews where appropriate. Successful candidates are usually well presented, articulate and able to demonstrate high energy levels and enthusiastic people skills. Remuneration is basic salary plus commission. Negotiators tend to earn above the industry average according to experience and ability.
